הפדרציה העולמית של בורסות היהלומים הודיעה על המינוח המחייב בכל
התייחסות ליהלומים סינתטים. לתשומת לב החברים.
הפדרציה העולמית של בורסות הילומים (WFDB) מודיעה על המינוח המחייב בכל התייחסות ליהלומים סינתטיים
(Synthetic Diamonds) וכמו כן ליהלומים מטופלים (Treated Diamonds).
יהלום סינתטי:
יהלום שנוצר במעבדה/גודל במעבדה/סינתטי.
יהלומים מטופלים:
חובה להצהיר כ"יהלום מטופל" ולגלות סוג הטיפול כ"טיפול(ים)
שאובחן(נו)".
At the request of the WFDB, we would
like to bring to the attention of all members the only terminology which
must be used in all forms of reference relating to synthetic diamonds,
and the terminology which must be used in respect of treated
diamonds.
The terminology for both synthetic
diamonds and treated diamonds may be found in the International Diamond
Council's Rule Book and for your convenience is as follows:
Synthetic Diamonds
"laboratory-created/laboratory-grown/
synthetic diamond"
Treated Diamonds
Must be disclosed as "Treated
Diamond". The type of treatment(s) must be disclosed as "treatment(s)
detected"
The WFDB together with IDMA established
the IDC in 1975 to create a common set of rules, working methods and
nomenclature for polished diamonds. A downloadable version of the IDC rule
book in pdf format can be found on their website www.internationaldiamondcouncil.org.
